Custom aspx page with default master page in SharePoint

I had a requirement to create custom aspx page and deploy to _layouts folder.

 Got help from this

Issue I faced was page CSS.

be sure to use v4.master for SharePoint 2010 and default.master for MOSS.


else page will lose the css part.

    Hi Anuja...i have a queation...
    in sharepoint 2007 Advanced search, we have something called "add property restriction"...in that when i use "title 'contains' xxx", it is not showing up the result because xxx comes at a very later part in the title...my question is that, is there any character limit upto which the property 'contains' recognizes words and displays...i would be really grateful to u if u help me.

There was a requirement to filter the search result based on QueryString present in url, and if no QueryString present then should populate all the results. Issue was simple to resolve if every time there is QueryString present, then below Query will do the job. Below filtering the result by checking managed metadata property equals the query string value. Above query was filtering the result based on QueryString given in URL. However it fails if there is no QueryString present in url.  "No result found" message appear. Ideally should populate all the results. And filter should be optional in query for this scenario. SharePoint 2013 Workflow gets canceled automatically

Hi, I was struck with the error of Workflow gets canceled automatically. Scenario was : A new SP 2013 installation, one server with SP, WF, etc and the other is simply SQL Server. Went through the installation steps for Workflow including the powershell bits. In designer, I am able to create a simple workflow and select 2013 as the type. When the workflow is run, is shows internal status is canceled and has the following error text below. RequestorId: 55c6990b-c4a6-352c-4a5b-449fc1aecac4. Permission denied for "Add and Customize Pages" in Sharepoint Online

Problem: I have created root site in SharePoint Online, weird problem I started facing is being a site administrator I was not able to customize the page/ upload the any page or master page. As in image below, for some reason I am set as Deny to "Add and Customize Pages". The problem is related to 'Scripting Capabilities' being turned off by default for the root site collection in Office 365. I found some article on community: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Turn-scripting-capabilities-on-or-off-1f2c515f-5d7e-448a-9fd7-835da935584f?ui=en-US&=amp&rs=en-US&ad=US It mentions that turning on scripting through the Sharepoint Admin Settings and wait around 24 hours. However, this did not work for me. still the issue was there. Following lines of script did a trick.
